Please join me in my well equipped and cosy studio in Abbeymead-Gloucester, full of gorgeous linen threads, luxurious ribbons and beautiful papers, for an inspiring afternoon of creativity, hand-making a notebook, a sketchbook or a box for you to take home. Ideal to keep for yourself or a unique and fun present to give for Christmas or a special birthday.

Below are some of the handmade book designs I can guide you through during a workshop. Please specify which one you'd like to make when booking to ensure all materials are ready, and your colour preferences (blue/ green/ pink/ purple/ orange/ red/ brown). You can choose as many colours as you want!
We will use gold leaves and a lovely stitch with colour coordinated ribbon
The cover of the book has a lovely, soft pillow feel to the touch
Coptic relates to the pretty stiching used. We will make our own cover using Gelli printing or gold leaf.
Covers are sewn with the text block. This is a challenging structure which explores a lot of bookbinding processes. We will choose paper from my unlimited stash.
Choose to make your own hand-made book, and we will then make a box for it using Gelli printing.
You will have fun experimenting with my stash of found papers and colourful wrapping papers and go home with 2 trays.
If you would rather not make any books, I also offer from 2 to 4 hours playing with various Gelli printing techniques. You will go home with a wide selection of prints to use as you wish or for a future bookbinding project.
All of the above workshops have contents from my own creativity and they all have unique processes that I have introduced after years of practicing a structure.
My books are all created with a modern twist, and with the influence of mixed media techniques, which may include Gelli printing, gold leaf, watercolour, Ecolite. If you would rather use gorgeous commercial papers, I have a full collection of them. All materials used are of the best quality and I have an extensive range of colours to suit most tastes!
I offer afternoon workshops on most weekdays and some weekends for up to 3 participants. Each session workshop lasts 4 hours. (Unless otherwise specified)
The fee includes all materials and refreshments.
I never charge more if we exceed the session time, as I understand everybody has their own pace and I want to offer a relaxing environment.
I also offer for sale high quality tools and materials to all my students, if they fall in love with the process.
